Dewalt Power Tools - Company Profile
Dewalt's popular sellers
Dewalt power tools were born out of one man’s response to a tough situation. Raymond E. DeWalt was working as head of a woodworking mill in the 1920s, but found that the work demanded of the workforce was more than they could manage, even when they worked as hard as possible. The company’s President refused to hire more people, so resourceful Ray designed a machine to solve his problems. He created the first motorized radial arm, which did the work of four men.A couple of years later, Raymond formed the DeWalt Products Company in Pennsylvania. Their main product was the Wonder-Worker, an electric woodworking machine. During the Second World War, the company expanded rapidly to help with the war effort.
Now there is a large range of Dewalt power tools: over 200 electric tools and over 800 accessories. There is also a great range of cordless Dewalt power tools, with more than thirty tools in the cordless range. For example, it is possible to buy 18V, 14.4V and 12V cordless drills. All these drills have a half-inch metal ratcheting chuck with carbide jaws. They also have a patented three-speed all metal transmission. Other cordless tools include saws and nailers.
If you’re looking for woodworking tools, Dewalt have plenty, from sanders to plate joiners. The range of woodworking tools includes several different types of saw: jigsaws, miter saws and scroll saws.
