Outdoor Furniture Covers - Material and Design
Choosing and fitting
One of the most important factors when it comes to caring for your outdoor furniture is prevention - and the best way to preserve the quality of your patio furniture is investing in a good set of outdoor furniture covers.
If you are prepared to spend a large amount of money on purchasing a decent set, then spending just a little bit more on custom patio slip covers will save you a lot of time and money in the long run.
When you take the small amount of time to cover your furniture after you use it, further down the line you will be saving yourself precious dollars and time when it comes to cleaning it. When you take into consideration the amount of time it can take to wash and dry a complete set of outdoor furniture, and then also the monetary value in the products used, then it just makes sense (and cents!) to invest in a set of slip covers. Preventing wear and tear will also prolong the life of your exterior furniture.
What to look for when buying outdoor furniture covers
There are some important factors to consider when choosing your custom patio covers, including materials and design specifications:
Most high quality outdoor furniture slip covers come designed with a heavy-duty exterior material (such as PVC or vinyl) and are lined on the inside for further protection so that they can handle all types of temperatures they are exposed to, from harsh sunshine to heavy snow. The covers should also be waterproof and UV protected.
Another important design factor to consider is ties, because what is the point of having patio covers if they are going to get blown away in the wind? Check if the covers you are buying have ties, slip on, are elastic or are held together with an adhesive material such as heavy-duty Velcro.
And while it seems obvious, make sure to check the cover is waterproof. Buying covers that are covered by an extensive warranty is also advised.
