Established for many years at the forefront of electronic and digital technology, Toshiba manufactures products to cater for a range of different markets encompassing communications technologies, entertainment, industrial and medical equipment. Toshiba produce a wide range of projectors whether needed for use in the office or at home, for business or entertainment purposes.
Toshiba offer four different models in their front projector range for use in home-theater set-ups. The one and only LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) projector in the selection is the TLP-ET1 uses WVGA (854 x 480) resolution giving it native widescreen dimensions making it ideal for films, television and gaming. This particular model comes with the affordable price tag of $1,499.
The rest of Toshibas home theater projectors all use DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology, whilst perhaps not as bright as LCD projectors, has wonderful clarity and contrast. The cheapest of the three at $1,999, the TDP-MT200 provides 700 ANSI lumens of brightness and also uses WVGA resolution. The remaining models are the TDP-MT500 and the TDP-MT800, the MT500 ($3,999) using WSVGA (1024 x 576) resolution and creating 700 ANSI lumens, and the MT800 ($9,999) uses a WXGA (1280 x 720) resolution and gives 1100 ANSI lumens. All of the above projectors resolutions have the 16:9 ratio giving the viewer the authentic widescreen experience!
If mobility is high on the list of features that you require then you may find what looking for in Toshiba's range of affordable portable projectors. The TDP-S20U is the cheapest at $999 with the TLP-SW20U, S70U and S71U forming the middle of the range. Weighing between 4.9 and 6.8 lbs these projectors all operate using SVGA resolutions and give between 1300 and 2000 ANSI lumens of brightness. In terms of price these machines vary between $1199 and $1699. The most expensive in the range is the TDP-D2-US projector, which at a still affordable $2399 offers 2500 ANSI lumens coupled with XGA (1024 x 768) resolution and only weighs 5.3 lbs making it an excellent choice. All of Toshiba's mobile projectors operate using DLP technology.
Ideal for giving presentations in almost any venue, Toshibas conference room projector range incorporate an impressive array of features such as wireless connectivity and an attached document camera. Toshiba offer both LCD and DLP projectors so whether its detail or brightness you feel is more important there will a projector for you. Toshiba's three DLP projectors vary in price between $1899 and $2099 and all come in a compact form weighing between 6.2 and 8.2 lbs. Each gives 2000 ANSI lumens of brightness and use native XGA resolutions. More expensive, Toshiba's range of LCD projectors retail from between $3199 and $6499. All using XGA resolutions they vary in brightness between 2400 and 4500 ANSI lumens and are slightly less mobile than their DLP counterparts weighing between 7.4 and 17 lbs.
