A wide range of projectors
A brand belonging to the InFocus Corporation, Proxima was recently combined with another of the corporation's brands, ASK. This has created a new brand name for their projectors-ASK Proxima. Primarily manufacturers of presentation projectors ASK Proxima provide a wide range of products, from tiny portable projectors to larger installation models, there is an ASK Proxima projector to meet almost any requirements.
ASK Proxima produce two excellent mobile projectors combining a lightweight and compact body with some of the most advanced projection technology around. The M1 weighs a surprisingly little 1.98 lbs and gives a relatively massive 1000 ANSI lumens of brightness. Using DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology this tiny model operates using XGA (1024 x 768) and has excellent 2000:1 contrast. Also using DLP technology and XGA resolution the M2+ gives 1400 ANSI lumens and weighs slightly more at 2.4 lbs. These often retail around the $2000 mark.
ASK Proxima's C110 projector is described as a multi-use projector, equally at home used as a tool in an office presentation as an entertainment device in the home. Costing around $1000 it uses SVGA (800 x 600) resolution and DLP technology. This model provides 1600 ANSI lumens of brightness.
If you require a slightly more powerful projector for the larger venue then ASK Proxima's meeting room projector range may have exactly what you need to give your presentation the impact that it deserves. The C160 and C180 are top quality LCD projectors (Liquid Crystal Display) giving 1700 and 2200 ANSI lumens of brightness respectively. Both have a 400:1 contrast rating and use XGA resolutions. The only DLP projector in this series, the C170 has a contrast rating of 1000:1 giving extremely detailed and colorful images. The C160 usually costs around $1800, the C170 $2000 and the C180 $2200.
For the largest venues you may opt for a more permanent and powerful installation projector. ASK Proxima manufacture four installation projectors that combine the latest of technology with the kind of user-friendly features you come to expect from a top manufacturer. The most inexpensive of this range is the C410. Usually costing around $3700 this LCD projector operates us XGA resolution and can give up to 28000 ANSI lumens of brightness. The C420 and C440 are a bit more costly retailing at around $4500 and $5400 respectively. Both operating using XGA resolutions they can produce up to between 3200 and 3500 ANSI lumens. The most expensive model that ASK Proxima produce is the C450. Retailing around the $6700 mark can give an exceptionally bright image creating up to 4500 ANSI lumens providing enough brightness to cut through any ambient light within reason.
