Home Finishing TouchesReadymade picture frames come in a variety of sizes, and although you may find some in unusual proportions such as 9” x 13”, the majority will be of regular proportions, such as the 4x5 frame.
You may find that suppliers distribute the larger sized frames to you in parts for ease of transportation. On receipt of the goods, you’ll be able to assemble the frames quickly and easily by following the enclosed instructions.
The following sizes are standard in US:
2.5” x 3.5”
3.5” x 5”
4 x 5
4” x 6”
5” x 7”
6” x 8”
8” x 10”
8.5” x 11”
9” x 12”
10” x 13”
11” x 14”
12” x 16”
14” x18”
16” x 20”
18” x 24”
20” x 24”
20” x 30”
22” x 28”
24” x 30”
24” x 36”Anything above this and you are entering into the realms of movie poster frames (27 x 40”)
Please note that when buying frames that have been manufactured in countries other than the United States, industry standards sizes may vary.
N.B. Standard photographic prints tend measure either 4 x 6 inches or 5 x 7 inches.
