If you are looking for a frame for a picture or photo, then the first piece of information you need to know is its size. Photographs tend to come in very standard sizes, usually 4 x 6 inches or 7 by 5 inches, but it is important that you know for sure.

Picture sizes can vary greatly, from very small 2 inch wide varieties to those in excess of 36 inches. And if all else fails, or if you want a truly unique piece of framing, then you can always commission a carpenter or framer to custom-build once for you.

1. When can I expect my order to be shipped?

For ready-made and in-stock orders, you can usually expect to receive your goods within a few working days. Most online retailers will give you the option of paying a higher shipping fee for urgent despatches.

For custom-made picture frames, delivery could be days, weeks or even months after your order was placed. Always check this with the framer before you confirm the order.

2. If I buy more picture frames, will I get a discount?

Possibly, yes. Some wholesalers and discount shops will knock off a percentage of the final total for bulk-buys. If not, it can’t hurt to ask!

3. Can I get samples sent out to help me decide which frame I want?

If you are having a frame made-to-order, the store should agree to this, although samples may be limited and you may have to pay for the privilege.

4. IIf I order the wrong sized frame, can I get a refund?

As long as the item was not purpose-built for you, most stores will have a 2-4 week returns policy. However you will probably have to take care of the shipping costs. Always check the store’s policy on this before you buy.
