Wall Mount Faucets
What to consider when choosing these faucets
As the name suggests, wall mount faucets are faucets that are fixed to the wall rather than the sink or bench top.
This sort of fixture is ideal for free-standing counters and basins, as the plumbing for the faucet comes directly from the wall. They are a great way to add a modern and sleek look to your bathroom or kitchen, especially if you have an above-counter basin which can often be the main feature of a room due to its uniqueness.
One of the main things to consider when choosing wall mount faucets is to select a spout that is long enough to reach the sink or basin – it should clear the edge of the basin by at least one inch. Failure to do this will mean a very messy (and often unusable) work space.
Kitchen and bathroom wall mounted faucets come with either a single handle or double handles for temperature control, with the most common being a double handle, three hole set up.
Quality is the key when buying faucets, so buying from the larger and more reputable manufacturers will mean less hassle with them after they have been installed. The basic theory of ‘you pay for quality’ applies with these types of faucets (and all types of bathroom fittings). Go with the best fittings that your budget can handle.
