Features inlcude combination locks, fire proofing and more

Depository safes

A depository safe - also referred to as a personal safe - is designed for an easy deposit of valuables. There are smaller and bigger versions depending on individual needs and space in the home or office.

A very classic design is a drawer compartment on the top and a larger storage compartment as the main part of the safe. This enables you to keep both paper documents but also equipment of any sort in the same safe, yet in different places.

Use

Depository Safes can be used at home as well as in the office. Many depository safes are aimed at the individual wishing to secure valuable possessions at home and a depository safe can give you the perfect opportunity to do this. They are perfect for storing documents overnight to protect company assets at the office.

Practical Info

A common height of this type of safe is 32" which relates to about 80 cm and gives you about 0.8 cubic foot capacity. If you are interested in buying a fire resistant safe don't forget to look out for the UL classification label which will tell you for how long the safe the safe is fire resistant. Many depository safes come with a combination lock with 3 numbers as well as interchangeable shelves. A key rack can also be included which therefore also offers the extra opportunity to store keys in the same safe as your documents.

Price Range

The costs for a depository safe can vary vastly. Small and more compact versions can be in a more affordable category as low as $90. Bigger versions which have added security or are even fire proof can be as high as $500 and more.
