Semi Integrated Dishwashers
Features - Bosch and Undercounter
Semi integrated dishwashers are much the same type of undercounter model as integrated washers, except the control strip is visible at all times. You can also still fit a panel (or fascia) that matches the rest of your kitchen furniture underneath the control strip to attain a stylish overall kitchen appearance.
This means a semi integrated dishwasher is the best of both worlds – being unobtrusive to the look of the kitchen, but still allowing the appliance to stand out slightly from the run of other kitchen cupboards. This explains why semi-integrated models are one of the most popular choices for buyers today. However, they are not recommended for use in a brand new kitchen, as a fully integrated dishwasher would be more stylishly suitable in this situation.
However, being somewhat camouflaged into the look of the kitchen, the style and simplicity of the control strip is crucial to any semi integrated dishwasher. Most such control strips have a bare minimum of buttons, knobs and lights in order that the operation of the appliance does not draw undue attention to itself. Therefore control strips on semi-integrated dishwashers usually measure no more than a few inches deep. More stylish and functional control strips (like on the Bosch Integra models) feature an LED sequence indicator to show you at a glance exactly where the machine is in its washing cycle.
